I met up with Alice Carey again, to get a few more shots for my book. Each time we meet, she brings out another amazing outfit, and shares even more wonderful stories about her life.Alice finds most of her things at thrift stores, including this striped dress is by her favorite designer, Bill Blass. To learn more about her Carey, check out her book on amazon HERE.

A Dior Suit Paired With a Parasol

I saw this woman walking down Madison Avenue in her gorgeous Dior suit and wonderful parasol. When I told her that I was taking photos for an upcoming style book, she was delighted and wished me the best of luck. Check out her beautiful bag and the detail on her pant suit!

Turbans and Gold

I met up with Lynn Dell this weekend to shoot a small segment for Norwegian TV. In the process, I couldn't help photographing her amazing outfit. Lynn is one of the most stylish and spirited women I know. At 78, she believes that everyday should be a celebration and that we should dress for the theater of our lives. Check out the video below to hear more about The Countess of Glamour.

Glamour at The Grocery Store

We all have excuses as to why we can't dress up at a particular moment, but this woman is proof that you can dress stylishly even while grocery shopping. I saw her at Trader Joe's and asked if I could take her photograph. She told me that she was only dressed for shopping, but I assured her that she looked just marvelous. If you're in rush throw take a cue from the lady above. Throw on a great pair of shades and a stylish scarf and you're ready to go!

Shades Of Gold

The ladies of Advanced Style always seem to have the best shades. Whether you want to stand out with a golden pair like this or go more classic like Mary, sunglasses are a great way to accessorize an outfit. Can you see me in the reflection?

"Sunglasses Are Better Than a Facelift"

I always have a blast with my pal Mary. At 71 years old she knows the secret to fooling mother nature, she says, "Sunglasses are better than a facelift, they hide the ravages of time, and let you spy on people." Mary keeps her style chic and classic, but when it comes to glasses she says,"You can break the rules once in a while, I'm not ready for a convent or anything so I can wear leopard glasses." Check out some more of Mary's many shades below.

Have Fun With Style

90 year old Ilona calls it creative dressing, Debra believes style is healing, and Marliyn Sokol(above) thinks dressing up is just plain fun. Whatever your style philosophy is remember to take pleasure in dressing up. Put on something that makes you smile, wear it with confidence, and you will have a beautiful day.

Style Is Healing

One of the great things about getting older, is gaining the confidence and  freedom to dress how you want. Debra Rapoport is a great example of a woman who isn't afraid to express herself. She doesn't dress for other people, and she believes that style can be healing. If you wear beautiful things and live a creative life you will feel better and be more joyful. What a great recipe for the rest or our lives. Email Debra with any style related questions to Debrathenutritionista@gmail.com .

Gloves and Glasses

This woman had the chicest  gloves and glasses. She was walking by Central Park, when I stopped her for a quick photo. Spring is almost here do you have a  pair of glasses as cool as the ones above?

A Beauty In Vintage

The other day I met Linda Zagaria while attending a wonderful hat sale, put together by the amazing milliner Ellen Christine. When Linda was a little girl she couldn't wait to grow up and dress like the stars she admired in black and white movies. Actresses like Claudette Colbert and Myrna Loy are her style icons to this day. Linda told me, " When you are younger you tend to dress for other people, when you are older you dress for yourself."She truly brings back the elegance and glamour of Old Hollywood.

Working Man

I passed this well dressed fellow on my way to the train uptown. I aspire to to be as dapper as him one day. Don't you just love pairing a hat with a sharp suit !

Mayor Bloomberg at The Waverly Inn

Last night I had a very special dinner with Maayan, Ilona and the wonderful owner of the Waverly Inn. Ilona has lived in the West Village for over 56 years and she often gets noticed for her wonderful style and amazing eyelashes. She was delighted to dine at one of her neighborhood's most popular haunts. While dining I noticed that Mayor Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch were just a few tables away. I got up and introduced myself and told them that they had to meet one of the Village's most spectacular women. The gentleman were very gracious and they told me to grab a camera and bring Ilona over. I took a quick photo of this dazzling pair and we returned to our table for a night to remember.

Dress Like A Gentleman

This man was walking uptown when I asked if I could take his photo. I love the way he dressed up his jeans with a great coat, classic hat and pair of gloves. This is the perfect cold weather attire.

A Little Red Lipstick

I spotted this gorgeous woman on Madison Avenue. Her red lipstick was the perfect contrast to her all black outfit. Many ladies have told me that the secret to adding some glamour to an outfit is to wear a little bit of red lipstick. Do you agree?

Dare To Be Plaid

Here are some outtakes from the photos I took of Tziporah Salamon, in all plaid, for Vogue Japan. Can you believe she actually rides a bicycle in her amazing clothes?
